Leadership

The church is led by a team of six leaders. Responsibility for decisions lies with four elders. Contact them at leaders@heworthcf.org.uk

Trustees

The trustees meet to make decisions about church finances. We currently only give money to a small number of Christian organizations which the church has direct links to. Some examples are Tear Fund, Mercy Ships, and North East Youth for Christ

Contact them at trustees@heworthcf.org.uk

House Groups

There are four house groups in the fellowship. They meet regularly in houses across South and East Gateshead for prayer, worship, bible study and social action. There are also a wide variety of social activities which have recently included a quiz night, ceilidhs, family walks, carol singing and meals for various occasions.

Children's Work

Sunday morning's meeting caters for children of all ages. There are crèche facilities, the Sunshine Club, the Power Pack, Beacons and the Young Teens. A feature of the Fellowship in recent years has been youth work in the local community. This has had great success and continues to reach out to the Felling, Wardley, Bill Quay and Heworth areas of Gateshead. Our child protection policy is available by clicking here.

Preaching

The preaching duties are divided between three main groups of people: The leadership, lay preachers and visiting speakers. This ensures great variety in style and emphasis!
