Jane and her dad, Derek, have just released the second ‘Singin’ Hinnies’ album! Titled ‘Ca’ Hawkie’, this album includes Tyneside favourites such as ‘Ma Bonny Lad’, ‘Wor Geordie’s lost his penka’ and ‘Oh! Heh ye seen wor Jimmy?’ as well as four recitations and of course the title track. Their first album was ‘Keep Your Feet Still’ and include tracks such as ‘The Blaydon Races’ and ‘Cushie Butterfield.’ For more information on this project please visit www.myspace.co.uk/singinhinnies In the Autumn of 2008 Jane released her live album, ‘Through the Valley’ Her fourth solo CD, this live recording was done on July 10th 2008 in Gateshead, and features mainly new material alongside a couple of old songs which have been reworked. This acoustic album reflects in a deeper way on the journey of life as viewed through the lens of faith. Recorded by Gav Richards and mixed by Dez Minto, both of Yfriday, these poignant songs have a rawness which touches the heart. Click below to hear samples of some of the tracks: ‘Simple Life’ was Jane’s first CD – an EP - and this is how Cross Rhythms described it: ‘Simple Life’ is six songs packed with memorable hooks and capped by Jane’s strong voice. It’s also a recording of emotional contrasts from the aching title cut to the pure pop of ‘You Complete Me’. ‘Bare’ is rockier whilst my favourite song is the more reflective prayer ‘Make Me Your Reflection’ complete with deceptive poppy groove and the challenge for those who desire to follow Christ to surrender everything. 9/10 ‘In the Stillness’ is an album of worship songs recorded with Jane’s brother, Dez Minto. Tracks include ‘Lord, here I am’ and ‘We approach Your throne.’ Click on the image below to hear track samples. You can order the CDs direct. To download an order form (ms word format) click here
